PURPLE PENCIL FISH / NANNOSTOMUS RUBROCAUDATUS

Nannostomus rubrocaudatus is found in sluggish tributaries of the upper Amazon with plentiful aquatic vegetation, submerged woody tangles, and dried leaf litter. They do best in aquascaped settings with wood and lots of plants.
